So close, yet so far
It's tearing me apart
What I would do to be there with you
So close yet so far
It's tearing me apart
What I would do to be back with you
hmmm, remember the english novel "My sister's keeper" which i borrowed last week.. lol, i borrowed another book the day after and i finished that book the very same night. it's "for one more day" by Mitch Albom, the same author as "Tuesdays with Morrie"! i read the latter some years back.. his books are mainly based on true stories and i find them inspiring/ encouraging/ something very close to the heart also. good ending, but it's always so sad..
taken from the back of the book, "for one more day" shares: "if you had the chance, just one chance, to go back and fix what you did wrong in life, would you take it? And if you did, would you be big enough to stand it?"
would you?
then there's was this part which i thought what he said was very true! he asked this guy who did alot of mountain climbing which was harder, ascending or descending? haha when i was reading this part, i was like of cos ascending lah.. against gravity, will be very tiring wad. BUT he said without a doubt descending, because ascending you were so focused on reaching the top, you avoided mistakes.
"The backside of a mountain is a fight against human nature", he said. "You have to care as much about yourself on the way down as you did on the way up."
well, i've never thought of it this way.
